Signo Hospitality Strengthens Leadership with Bart Luijk

Essen, July 2024. In light of new projects and a successful growth trajectory, Signo Hospitality is strengthening its leadership team around Managing Director Sascha Konter. Bart Luijk is the new Director of Operations, effective immediately. The experienced hotel manager is tasked with further advancing Signo Hospitality’s expansion plans. With his many years of expertise from positions in the international hotel industry and his valuable knowledge, Luijk supports the prosperous company. His extensive hotel expertise and work with renowned hospitality and entertainment providers enable him to combine proven experience with fresh perspectives. “I am very pleased to join Signo Hospitality at a time when projects are noticeably gaining momentum,” says Luijk. “There is a lot planned for the coming months and years, and I look forward to working with the entire Signo team to successfully shape the projects together.”

Experienced in International Hospitality Management

Bart Luijk, a native of the Netherlands, learned the hotel business from the ground up. After earning his Bachelor’s degree at the Hotel School The Hague at the International Institute for Hotel Management, he began his professional career as Operations Manager of the Millennium Gloucester Hotel and Conference Centre. This was followed by positions including Meeting & Events Operations Manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel Frankfurt am Main and the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel London, as well as Value Centre General Manager at The Tower Hotel. He then served as General Manager at Element Amsterdam, followed by roles as General Manager Area Regional at Cycas Hospitality. His most recent positions include Area Manager South at Cinemaxx Entertainment and Head of Operations at Flemings Hotel Group.
