Conversion Work for the New Hotel in Lenggries on Track

Essen/Lenggries, July 2024. The conversion of the former Arabella Brauneck Hotel in Lenggries into a completely renovated hotel within Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio is progressing rapidly. Work on the construction site has been in full swing since the end of April. Currently, the roof is being dismantled and the old windows are being removed. For the work on the emerging hotel, the future operator, Signo Hospitality Lenggries GmbH, and the local real estate developer have preferably involved local companies. For example, the carpentry, masonry, and concrete work, as well as disposal, are being carried out by local and regional companies. A next milestone in the renovation measures is the demolition of the aging ancillary buildings. In their place, a modern and energy-efficient apartment building will be constructed according to the KFNWG 40 standard, with 30 residential units, which will also be available to employees.

Energy-efficient on the outside and a real gem on the inside

In terms of energy efficiency, the modernized main building will also take a big step into the future according to the BEG 55 EE standard. So far, construction work is fully on schedule, and the new building envelope is expected to be completed by the end of the year. “Then the installation of the attractive interior can begin, and the hotel’s interior can be transformed into a real gem. The renowned company JOI Design is responsible for the interior architecture. Keller Italia is acting as the general contractor for the main building”, says Sascha Konter, Managing Director of Signo Hospitality. Occupancy and handover to Signo Hospitality Lenggries are expected in the second half of 2025. With the completely renovated Tribute Portfolio hotel by Marriott, one of Lenggries’ landmarks, which has grown over decades, will shine in new splendor – with 114 rooms, 30 apartments, an attractive rooftop bar, an enlarged restaurant, and a new fitness and wellness area. By the way, the hotel’s name will remain a well-kept secret for the time being.
